VOILA! Birthday Invite

This card is a combination of my love for vintage textiles & doo-dads and STAMPING! I designed and created this invitation as per a request from a VERY SPECIAL customer of mine who lives in Canada...we "met" thru my Ebay site last fall, and she has become a WONDERFUL long-distance friend. After I stamped the VINTAGE LINEN with the VOILA! chef (in Basic Brown Classic), I mailed the 12 pieces to my Canadian friend, Connie, who did the embroidery stitches ( tedious...but very cool!)..Then she sent them back to me to finish up the cards...which are for the FIRST BIRTHDAY celebration of her TWIN nephews! After ironing heat & bond onto the back of the linen, I attached to layers of coordinating cardstock ( non SU)....with FUN painted SNAPS....I stamped the birthday cake onto whisper white c/s and colored in with my Stampin'UP! markers....I used Tulip PUFFY paint ( MUCH MUCH better value than liquid applique', and WORKS!!!) & pop-dotted for dimension. A BIG RED Gingham bow ( wire edged) was attached with a staple then tied.
You're invited ( Hugs & Wishes)was stamped first into Versamark, then into REAL RED Classic ink; Crystal clear embossing powder added, then heat embossed.
Connie has also commissioned me to do the TWINS FIRST YEAR SCRAPBOOK!....which will be a gift to her sister. My BeeHive STudio is scattered with TONS of photos ( figure X 2) and paper & STAMPS to incorporate.
Guess I'll be busy with this project all week!
Blessings, Debbie
