Finally...I think I've got it!!!!

Well....I suppose I should get a picture posted of my new Bee Hive Studio...all -beeeeeeeee- it still a work in progress....but, I am actually getting some new projects accomplished....along with...."ahem" ...FINDING MANYMANYMANY projects still needing some "love".

Since I am transferring this coming week to a new Lowes store in Nashville, I have found myself in a most bittersweet position. There are some wonderful people I have met thru this journey I embarked on last April....and I am trying to come up with some handmade cards to give out this weekend.....along with perhaps some kind of "treat" bag or something ....haven't really figured this one out yet.

Here is one thank you card I came up with...using the FUNFUNFUN Silhouette Digital Craft Cutter my dd, Jenny gave me this past Christmas. I am embarrassed to say that it took me taking a Silhouette Class 101 at my local SBS, Memories in Bloom...plus a GREAT cheat sheet handout....and of course, the ever faithful help from dd to get this super sweet card created...a real TEAM effort....but, now , I feel very confident using it!...The possibilities are endless!!!

I used a bunch of scraps I had on my work table....along with some Stampin'UP! products. I LOVE this birdie I was able to download into my QK library....I will definitely be making alot more of these....just to have on hand...the sentiment can be left until the last minute....as needed.

SO very sorry I have been away FOR-EV-ER....I am still working at Lowes and lovin'it...I have moved my BeeHive Studio from the basement to an upstairs bedroom to HOPEFULLY corral my STUFF to a manageable size....( but, seriously, now the basement is a storage facility for all the odds 'n ends & doo-dads that do not fit!)

I am trying to get back in the "creative saddle" again....as I have been dormant for too long...so...beeeeeeeeee sure to check back and see what I have been up to!

In the meantime......

Isn't she just UBER CUTE?????...and what a FUN gift from my most AWESOME hubby (aka:Mr.Lowes)

Sapphire blue metalic...YUMMY-licious!!!!......My first inkling was to pick a yellow bug with a black convertible top....so BEE-ish.....but, I fell in love with this one instead.....I do however plan on some "bee" accessories!!!

I feel like I am starting my blog all over again. I appreciate all the kind words and emails from my faithful followers...those of you who have encouraged me to get back creating and blogging.

I have so many ideas on my creative to-do list....so you just never know what you might find here....beeeeeeeeee sure to buzz back soon!!!

NEW SHOES...a NEW DO...Another ME!

Nothing creative here to post...but AT LEAST, I am posting......Something I have found VERY difficult to do, since going to work at Lowes.......Check out these MOST MOSTMOST cute flipflops given to me by my "baby boy"( ok, seriously, he is 24...but, ya know how it goes!) and his beeeeeeeeeeeautiful wife....arent they too fun?.....and READY for NEXT spring!....gonna have to get a pedi to wear these!AND HOW 'BOUT these UBER FUN sneakers I just got for work???....I didnt even notice they have like a froggy and lillypads on them...they were MY FAVORITE COLOR of aqua...YUMMY-LICIOUS!!!

Ok.....and now.....here I am......after 5 1/2 months at Lowes.....I have gone from a size 18 to a size 12!...whooowhooooo...LOTS of walkinwalking ...and up & down those humongous ladders...equals a daily workout...PLUS I actually get paid!!...lol!...ANyhoo...will not step on the scales until the day BEFORE Thanksgiving....for those of you who have yo-yo'd your whole life like I have, you know its kinda depressing to see actual numbers....But, all I know, is I feel GREAT!......

Got my hair cut off...choppy and fun.......Oh...and see that barn thing on the wall?....One of my treasures from my MIL...many years ago...she passed this along to me when we moved to Tennessee.....Its from one of the Home Interior parties from LONGLONG ago!!
Anyhoo....nothing too creative going on in THE BEE HIVE.....just trying to ORGANIZE...STILL!!!...Oh my goodness...I am not good at this at all.....I keep getting distracted by SHINEY stuff....and buttons...and fabric...and paper....and ribbons.....OH MY!

FUNKY FEELING DAY.....

WOW...OK...I am trying to write a wonderful and uplifting post...and am having a FUNKY day...so, it is hard....working in the "outside work force" after all these years is ...hmmmmm...DIFFERENT than what I have been used to...exposed to.....It is a CHALLENGE to re-train a complacent worker-bee.......my mantra.....PRESS ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....on a much brighter note: lookee what came from my FALL SWAP Partner, Mandy.....a FUN & YUMMY box of goodies.....THANKS, Mandy!!Fall is definitely my favorite time of year....LOVE the colors of the leaves changing...the brisk & crisp air....mmmmmmm!!...SO, this box was UPLIFTING!!!....Now...if I ONLY had a recipe for cookies that I can use the cookie cutters with ( I AM the expert : "drop a rounded teaspoon of cookie dough"...or slice 'n bake queen-bee baker)

Also....I am puppy-sitting for LAURA, whilst she is getting some much deserved R&R.....Miss Lillie Belle has taken over the STUDIO.....Miss Priss, she is in my comfy chair!

CELEBRATING....A Promotion!

whoooooooooooowhooooooooooooo!
I got a promotion at LOWES!!!...I am now officially a FULL-TIME employee....AND Team Leader( thats the job title) of Windows & Walls...aka: Home Decor!.....what an awesome affirmation that hard work and perseverance pays off.!!!
So, now I will have a real corporate schedule....I am so excited!

ALL that being said....if you have been following my blog musings...you know I am re-doing my studio to be more user-friendly ( aka: ORGANIZED) for me...I have decided to drop my demonstratorship with Stampin'UP!...to allow more ME time in my studio....to get back to using what I have...enjoying my creative space..The Bee Hive....

ANyhoo...I am determined to get the studio in tip-top organized shape...so, I can post my creations regularly...and get my NEW designs into my ETSY shop.(for real!)

Confessions of a Bad Blogger....

Hi....my name is Debbie....and I am a BAD BLOGGER.....Obviously... it has been a MONTH since my last post...BUT WAIT!!!....that is about to change.
I am going through some MAJOR transitions in my life....my birthday is coming up....September 14...and since starting back to work ( in the "outside work force") after 22+ years...I have concluded I MUST re-organize my lifetime at home.
Soooooooo...I am destashing my entire StudioBeeCreations space to make it more user friendly....for me. I have decided to let go of ALOT of things.....and will be posting a huge

UBER COOL BEANERS....PINCUSHION Swap

Had a day off from Lowes ( since I am still considered part-time, they have cut back alot of hours!)....so, I have been bizzzzzzzzzzzzzy catching up on some awesome swaps I have joined!
This is my swap for the Pin-Cushion swap.....isnt it UBER COOL BEANERS??

When we used to do the wholesale/craft show circuit ( traveling like gypsies, we did!)...I made LOTS of pincushions repurposing VINTAGE items. So......I dug into my stash...and repurposed a REPURPOSED vintage mold ( talk about recycling....I told you I cannot throw anything away!..LOL).....I LOVE this whootywhoooo owl....I hand cut from my own pattern design.
Made one for my swap partner...and one for my ETSY shop.

Update on my van......OH DEER!!!.....well, it could have been worse.....as it stands right now...I have a rental ...and the van is in the shop, just "shy" of being totalled....it can be repaired.....So, we are out of pocket our deductible....and a little inconvenience.....it could have been ALOT worse.

THREE for THREE

A few nights ago, as I was driving home from Lowes....a bat flew dead head (figuratively speaking )into my windshield......a few miles down the road ( we live in the country)...there was an opossum that decided it would STOP in the middle of the road ( umm, beneath my right front tire).....I got home...told Mr. Lowes..."Well, I am two for two!".....
Soooooooooo....you know things come in THREES???....Well, LAST night......YEP....three deer....as I was coming over a slight hill decided to "CROSS OVER"...right in front of me.....and....I have always been told it is better to hit the deer than to avoid it ( and perhaps end up in a ditch or worse)....sooooooo the third time was the charm, as they say!
It could have been worse......the airbag could have ALSO deployed...but, it didnt....& I was able to make it the rest of the way home.
The damage:

State Farm is gonna have to tow the old girl.....(the car, not me)....seems there is internal damage.....dont know if she will make it......so we may be at a crossroad here.
Luckily, I am off work for a couple of days...so, I will be able to get my latest creations into my ETSY shop......gotta pay for the deductible...or a new car somehow!

Okeeeeeeeeeeeedokeeeeeeeeeee....FINALLY catching up on some card making....for CardsforHeroes.org...
From my blog candy WAY BACK here.....I had requested BEE images for anyone who wanted to be included in the "draw".....these are only a FEW of the MANY that were sent in.....AND...since I am such a hoarder of bits & pieces.....I had tons of stuff to work with!....using my stash!....It was a BLAST and my creative mojo was on overload, I think!

ANd , while I was at it....I repurposed a HUGE stash of SU SWAP card fronts...and turned them into MORE cards for our heros....its a GREAT way to utilize those samples!....and makes you feel good inside too!...TRY it...you'll LOVE it!!

Sooooooooooooo...all of these will be on their way to Sandy today!(better late than never!)

Two days off in a row......makes for MUCHO creativity....now, I am on what they call at LOWES the 7-day stretch.....so, my studio time will be limited....BUT...beeeeeeeeeee sure to check back....I have a few goodies ALMOST ready to list in my Etsy shop......along with a NEW catagory.....The BIZZZZZZZZZARE...no, not weird stuff.....but, what EVERYONE LOVES......A SALE!!!!...whoooowhooooo!!!

Wow.....what in the world happens to the hours in a day...the days in a week???They all pass by so quickly now with me working at Lowes...I have very little time to be creative in my BEE HIVE STUDIO....so, ANYTIME I can spend is PRECIOUS!
Sooooooooo.....here is a hint of a project that has been on my list of to-do's since last FALL!....inspired by the news related in this post about my UBER SWEET Grandguy Sammy.
I wanted to wait to reveal the idea for my project until dd Joy posted their family's story here.
I am so very proud of her....and all she has accomplished with the boys. Their sweet little family has a long road ahead of them...but, I truly believe that their FAITH will see them through all this....and they will find the STRENGTH to PRESS ON.....

Soooooooo...all that being said....I have wanted to do something to help them across the miles....since it is a SEVEN HOUR car ride from my door to their door ( this does include a couple of pit stops along the way!)....and as much as I would LOVE to be able to be there IN PERSON for physical and emotional support, that is just not in the cards right now.......But, I have this project on my table...all ready to launch now...so, beeeeeeeeee sure to check back and see what my idea is!..I will post & make an announcement when it's in StudioBeeCreations Etsy Shop..In the meantime...I know that Joy would appreciate any uplifting comments and prayers from those of you who have similar life experiences.....and check out her etsy shop too....where she sells her yummy creations.

FUNNY for SUNDAY on MONDAY

Goooooooooood Day!!....it is dark-thirty...I am UPUPUP spending a little time in The Bee Hive Studio before my work day begins at LOWES.....
I cannot believe where the week goes...I know I am in the studio at least a couple of hours every day.....working on orders and playing CLEAN UP /Catch Up with all my STUFF......I know I keep on saying NEW THINGS will be in my ETSY shop, but, orders come FIRST!......sooooooooo...for todays post ( just to AT LEAST get some light reading material up)...I have attached this fun quip from my friend Joane...(Sorry....I do not know the origin of this funny to give just acknowledgments)......however, enjoy the read:

Through the eyes of a child:
The Children's Bible in a Nutshell

In the beginning, which occurred near the start, there was
nothing but God, darkness, and some gas. The Bible says,
'The Lord thy God is one, but I think He must be a lot older than that.
Anyway, God said, 'Give me a light!' and someone did.
Then God made the world.
He split the Adam and made Eve. Adam and Eve were naked,

Charlton Heston. Moses led the Israel Lights out of Egypt
and away from the evil Pharaoh after God sent ten plagues on
Pharaoh's people. These plagues included frogs, mice, lice,
bowels, and no cable.
God fed the Israel Lights every day
with mannicotti. Then he gave them His Top Ten Commandments.
These include: don't lie, cheat, smoke, dance, or covet your
neighbor's stuff.
Oh, yeah, I just thought of one more:
Humor thy father and thy mother.
One of Moses' best helpers was Joshua who was the first
Bible guy to use spies. Joshua fought the battle of Geritol and
the fence fell over on the town.
After Joshua came David. He got to be king by killing a
giant with a slingshot. He had a son named Solomon who had
about 300 wives and 500 porcupines. My teacher says he was wise,
but that doesn't sound very wise to me.
After Solomon there were a bunch of major league prophets.
One of these was Jonah, who was swallowed by a big whale and then
barfed up on the shore. There were also some minor league
prophets, but I guess we don't have to worry about them.
After the Old Testament came the New Testament. Jesus is the
star of The New. He was born in Bethlehem in a barn.
(I wish I had been born in a barn too, because my mom is always saying
to me, 'Close the door! Were you born in a barn?' It would
be nice to say, 'As a matter of fact, I was.')
During His life, Jesus had many arguments with sinners like
the Pharisees and the Republicans.
Jesus also had twelve opossums.
The worst one was Judas Asparagus. Judas was so evil that they
named a terrible vegetable after him.
Jesus was a great man. He healed many leopards and even
preached to some Germans on the Mount.
But the Republicans and all those guys put Jesus on trial before Pontius the Pilot. Pilot didn't stick up for Jesus. He just washed his hands instead.
Anyways, Jesus died for our sins, then came back to life again.
He went up to Heaven but will be back at the end of the
Aluminum. His return is foretold in the book of Revolution.

BIZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZY in The Bee Hive Studio

On my day off from my job at LOWES...this is what I was doing!!!...A special order request from my church, to make thank you notes for all the Sunday School worker-bees and teachers. Yowza!...do I ever feel accomplished!.....Same layout/sketch for each...but using my bits & pieces and hoarded stash....I was able to create 48 of these....and honestly not make a dent in my creative mess ( see this post).....what in the world???

Anyhoo....the inside sentiment/verse was printed on my computer....all other supplies are from SU.....and I was going to use my SU watermark...but, have not yet figured out how to CHANGE the 2007 to a 2008 to make it current( can anyone help me with this???)....maybe its time for a change....

I also had another card request......so, sticking with the concept of not just making ONE (after all....everything is already OUT on the table, right?)...I made one to keep & one to share.
I LOVE creating this way....my next big project will be to get all the Cards for Heroes cards completed, and sent off to Sandy for distribution....I am so psyched about creating & crafting on my days off now.......MOJO heaven!

CREATING for CONNIE in CANADA....

Isn't this an UBER CUTE stitchery??....Made by my Canadian friend Connie...and turned into a birthday card ( by me) for her sister, Mary....I STITCHED it by machine onto layers of Stampin UP! dp...added a computer printed sentiment...and added ribbon laced thru some jumbo eyelets...Connie is a wonderful customer...and friend.....and definitely keeps me bizzzzzzzzy on my days off from Lowes!

Another "Connie request"...this 8x8 lavendar sachet pillow, I made using some vintage fabric from my STASH...I LOVE dots!!...and the lavendar sent is just YUMMY!...its a gift for same sister Mary...

Oh...and THIS card...a special Connie request for a newborn's birth-day....I am finally getting around to using some of my favorite TOOLS in my studio....Cuttlebug....Revolution....dies & embossing folders...not to mention more STUFF outta my stash!

......and this is the inside of the card....a speical sentiment Connie requested....I printed it on my computer......uber FUN !!!

MULTI-TASKING Projects...How BIZZZZZZZZZARE!

What in the world??....How many projects can a bizzzzzzzzzzzzzzy bee have going on at one time? This is my CREATIVE MESS.....my Bee Hive Studio...many projects...many stations....just not enough time.....anyone else have this problem?I know I am a LUCKY gal to have ALL THIS Space to play in....but, when my creative juices start flowing, I start doing a bingbingbing from one table to the next.....as my bff Laura would say..."I saw something shiney"

Here's just a FEW of my ribbons & trim...just waiting to be attached to paper....or fabric.....and as you are thinking, "Wow, this chickie needs some organizing"...I have tried that...but when I create I have to have everything IN SIGHT!

And on the OTHER table....my papercrafting.....check out that OPEN space!!!!...Actually 8x8 .....PLENTY GOOD ROOM!!!

Oh...and ANOTHER project in the works ( did I mention bingbingbing??)....SOme Amy Bulter fabric YUMMY-NESS .....on a lampshade....soon to be in my ETSY shop!!....check back at the beginning of the week ...my next days off!

And, in the meantime, I am trying to get my fabrics washed & prepped for sewing BAGS & APRONS ( getting that sizing out , which really plays havoc with shrinkage!)...and the VINTAGE Quilt Chain...ready to go into the shop!!
SO......I am off to work in a little while....guess I better CLEAN-UP!

LOWES Paint Department...This is Debbie...How may I help you?

Just a little FYI post today....I am about 7 weeks into my new LIFE at working in the outside world....my status as of today is PART-TIME Seasonal, at Lowes Home Improvement ...which is approximately 40-45 hours a week right now.....Soon, they will tell me IF I can be permanent....which I am hoping for BEEEEEEEEEEEECause I am sooooooo loving it!

I spend 1/2 my time in Home Decor ( the other day I cut 48 Plantation Faux wood Blinds!!!)...and the other 1/2 of my time is in the PAINT DEPT.......I LOVE PAINT!!!....I keep telling my managers ( and everyone else who will listen) that I LOVE PAINT!.....OH, the YUMMY colors!!!
So.....after catching up on some blog reading this morning ( I work 10-7 today)...I came across this past posting from THE NESTER (who would absolutely LOVE the Home Decor MIS-TREATMENTS!)....where she reveals her favorite paint color Tobacco Road.....OK...now....just to let you all know what I have discovered in the past few weeks at LOWES is: Pay NO ATTENTION to the ad on TV about color matching that BIG PURPLE animal....it wont work.....anything with any texture or mix of colors( that pillow with brown/black/tan specks) will not be an EXACT match....sorry!..BUT>>>I CAN match that piece of trim you yanked off your wall ...OH...and we have also color matched a FINGER NAIL ( yes...the nail..!!!)EEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWW!!!.... ..AND.....you CAN bring in MOST color names or #'s off other paint companies...and we can mix it for you....because we have the secret code!(...ok..the computer does)...and ALSO....we can do University and SPORTS team colors too!....which is UBER cool!..
Now...in my opinion....IF you are going to take the time to paint...then I would advise you to use Lowes VALSPAR Signature or Ultra Premium paints.....(no, this is not a commercial...just my "expert"??? opinion)....The difference between Valspar & Olympic paints is like the difference between CREAM( valspar)...and WATER(olympic).....SO....if you are just painting to move out of where you are...or just need a quickie coverup...then use the Olympic...BUT...if you want the YUMMINESS ..and are planning on living with the color for a while, then absolutely use Valspar...you will not be disappointed!
Also...if you have a LOWES in your town....and have kiddos.....you need to take advantage of our BUILD & GROW program.....Two saturdays every month...we do a FREE Craft project with the kids....sign up on-line....the next one is scheduled for June 28th....UBER COOL baseball field!
I have been soooooooooo happy to be put in charge of this the past few sessions....I LOVE THE KIDS!!
Ok.....so...thats it for right now....I have to get some creating done.....my STUDIO is overflowing with projects!!!!!

What was once OLD...has become NEW...again

Well....its my day off from my job at Lowes...and I am bizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy creating for my Etsy shop.....and after catching up on some morning blog-reading...I thought I would give my input ( not that anyone asked...but, beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeecause I feel inclined to)....on the matter of copyright with crafts....whether it be paper/textile/wood or whatever...if you obtain inspiration and value from someone elses work, then it is always polite to acknowledge them. But, seriously, there's not too much that IS new!....Take these yo-yo's.......I have rescued them from a Love-Worn, VINTAGE quilt....and transformed them into fun & fresh..USABLE little works of art....This sweet little swag below measures approximately 7 feet long...and would be adorable for qualifying for one of The Nester's window mistreatments.....or over a mantle...or in a bowl....Little pieces of the past...YUMMY 1930's fabrics and flour sack cloths!

And CHECK THESE OUT!!.....from the same rescue....sets of TACKS for your corkboard....along with some of my coveted ANTIQUE buttons attached.....how much fun are these for YOUR creative space????
OHOHOH.....and these too.......FUN bookmarks....Gigando paper clips with yo-yos attached on either side with UBER FUN buttons( some old....some new)
ANyhoo.......beeeeeeeee sure to check out the NEW STUFF in my Etsy shop.....my creative MOJO is working overtime....and I am LOVIN' it!

.........and BTW.......since being out in the "retail world" for the past 6 weeks, I have made a discovery......that there are some AWESOME ,WONDERFUL people in the world....my friendly customers>>>always with a smile.....and then...there are those stinkers( you know who they are!!!)..who should NEVER leave the house and inflict rude, mean & ugly remarks on the poor working class servants.!!!!...Not to mention(but I will)..those who OPEN packages to "see whats inside" ..and then not only do NOT put said item back in the package, BUT..leave it totally NOT where it goes!....sheeeeeeesh!....cant we all be respectful of one another?.....I even go into OTHER retail stores , and rehang fallen items...or front face stock...or help other customers with a smile.......

TRANSITIONS.......and reflections........

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...is anyone still checking??...Is this blog ON???...It has beeeeeeeeeen forever and a day since I posted....not to mention even having time to BLURF myself, and see what everyone else has been up to.....well...thats what happens when after over 22 years of staying at home....working OUT OF the home...then transitioning back into the everyday workforce does to you.......I feel like a butterfly making the transition.....its a whole new world!!.....And my job....at Lowes....I am sooooooooo LOVIN' IT!!.... SO,....what have I been up to in the STUDIO?.....Well....after the 22 year transition...I decided to revisit my first love of sewing...pulled out my most awesome faithful Bernina...and....jumped back into FABRICS again!....and it feels so good!!!.....After joining a few swaps...I am SEW ready to get some of my APRON creations....and other fabric goodies into my Etsy shop....so STAY tuned....& check back!

This first apron went to my swap partner who also lives in Tennessee...(how cool beans is that??)..Yummy fabrics from HL...mixed with a little Amy Butler...VINTAGE tea/dish towel ...TOPPED with a brooch from my dd JOY-FULL-NESS ( it matches!!!)...UBER cute!!

And this one.....from the same fabric....for another swap partner ( in AUSTRALIA!!)....I fashioned this using one of the Days of the Week VINTAGE Vogart towels from my stash....THIS is going to be something I will be creating for my ETSY shop....using my vintage stitcheries in Aprons....Bags....etc......

The possiblities are ENDLESS.....you should see my stash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And how about THIS yummy-ness???????????????....These uber cute MORSELS are PINCUSHIONS!!!.....One-of-a-kind little ( ya know I LOVE little) goodies...that will be in my ETSY shop .....Fun....& Funky......gotta have one???....Email me with your colors, and I'll do up something JUST FOR YOU!....Each comes with a couple of fun pins also...assorted glass beads attached to pearl head pins....

.......oh, and THIS one...is mine........yummy-licious colors....that turquoisey-blue is one of my faves....it IS The Bee Hive STudio color!
SO....in reflection.....altho, I am making the "butterfly" transition....my sewing and fabric is here to stay....but, I still will be creating PAPER crafts also......I cannot help myself.....and I have tons of projects in the works!

Ok...honestly...I received these beeeeeeeefore Mother's Day from my dd Jenny and her hubby Bill....but, due to my new job adventure, I am late in posting....so, just wanted to say..."Happy Mother's Day" ....and arent these just beeeeeeeeeautiful???
Today is my day off.....I have been bizzzzzzzzzzy creating some things for RAKS...for orders.....& some ETSY items...hoping to get into the shop VERY soon......I am LOVIN' sewing again!
Also....I am soooooooo far beeehind on checking out my google blog faves.....its really a hard adjustment after having oodles of hours in the day to BLURF...and now, I am lucky to get my email read!....( not complaining....just adjusting!!!).....I am truely blessed and grateful to have a job .....

Whats the BUZZZZZZZ?...Let me Tell You what's Happening

WARNING....long RAMBLING post ANNOUNCEMENT.....and a new ADVENTURE!!!
YOWZA!!...it has been forever since my last blog post...But, I have been UBER Bizzzzzzy!
After 22 years of not working OUTSIDE of the home..I have just joined the work force again....talk about a LIFE changing experience!.....I started working for Lowes ( not at the same store as my Mr. Lowes...its not allowed)..I am a Customer Service Associate in the PAINT & Home Decor department.....and LOVING it!!!.....not only do I get a regular paycheck( something I personally have not experienced in many years)...but, I get quite a workout on those big tall ladders...like a free aerobic stair step!!!
Anyhoo....soooooooo, I have been lax in getting my 10 Grand Hit blog give-a-way box out to Flossie ( I am sooo sorry for the delay, my friend!).....but, there will be a few extras to make up for it!....My "creative" time is WAY limited now...and I treasure each and every moment I can steal away in my Bee Hive Studio!....and go figure....this work schedule has made my creative juices REALLY flow....oh my goodness.....sooooo many ideas & projects!!!
I have signed up for a few SWAPS thru SwapDex ( a VERY cool blog!)....and re-visited my FIRST crafting love of SEWING!

What in the World?????......SPRING????

Well.................the weather dudes were RIGHT!!....Thank goodness WE (ahem...Mr. Lowes!) covered up all our NEWLY PLANTED flowers and veggies last night!!!.....Is it SPRING, yet???

Check out my bee "wind sock"....whose swirly tail thingy did not survive the last windy day!...oh well....$$$ spot at Target....still a GREAT deal...its a BEE!!!
Looks kinda like a cemetery......but this "bed" houses my rambling rose bush....and some NEW tomato plants....didnt want them to get frozen!
So.....now...I have to run outside in my jammies and UNCOVER everything before the SUN bakes them!...honestly, I do not understand this scientific concept.....but...ya do what ya gotta do!!

Mr. Lowes...and the MEMO Board....Organization!

Whooooowhooooo!....By now, if you are a regular visitor to my blog, you are well aware that I am married to THE MOST talented, understanding, AWESOME man in the world!....and he GETS ME!....Mr. Lowes...I asked for a board that I could use to help keep me more organized....My mind is always spinning with creative thoughts....bizzybizzybizzy....So, he made a handy ( HUGE 23.5 x 32) dry erase board......PERFECT...and left the altering to me!!( what fun!)

Isn't it COOL BEANERS?????.....I used my MOST favorite SU designer paper..Fall Flowers (Oh my goodness!...these ARE MY colors!!)...and cut into 2" strips...and with a SU gluestick(honestly...THE BEST!)...I glued down the strips in a patchwork look....THEN...from MY STASH 'o stuff ( Hoarding!!) I found some Mod Podge that had glitter in it...YUMMY-LICIOUS Bling! and coated the paper strips( will protect from dust, etc).....THEN.....using a piece of satin blanket binding left over from a project for my GrandGuy Myles, I knotted a hanger thru drilled holes.....and VOILA!!!!....the icing on the cake:

Another BIZZZZZZZY Day in Paradise

Paradise...thats where I live.....OK...well...the name of the town is Chapmansboro....in Tennessee...but, it is Paradise for me!....An empty-nester...living with the love of my life...my soulmate ( aka: Mr. Lowes...beeeecause, that is where he works).....Doing what I LOVE....creating.....stamping, sewing, mosaic-ing....Stuff-out-of-JUNK....
This is a sweet mosaic mirror I created....I have posted it in my ETSY shop....along with several other VINTAGE repurposed items today......Please beeeeeeeeeeeee sure to check them out!!

BIZZYBIZZYBIZZY...where have I BEEEEEEEN?

YOWZA!!!!...I have beeeeeeeeeeeeeen so very bizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy since my last post...getting ready for the road trip with my friends Shawna & Heather to the CK Convention in St. Louis...Lots of prep for our Stampin' UP! Make & Take Demo booth ( we did well OVER 400 free Make & Takes!!)...made LOTS of contacts...met LOTS of new friends!!...no pics on my camera...but, thank goodness Shawna has some...will post those later!
Sooooooooooooo....I got home last night ( ok...dark thirty this morning)...and I had the MOSTMOSTMOST wonderful box o' goodies from my dd JOY....oh how fun & YUMMY-licious!!!She is so creative( hmmmmm...guess she gets that from ME???)See the FUN broaches in the left corner of picture?.....well...she has them in her NEW ETSY shop ...beeeeee sure to check her out!!!....

.Lucky me...I now have a stash for my NEW creations coming soon to MY Etsy shop.....After MANYMANY years of sewing...then gravitating to PAPERCRAFTS...I have decided to combine the two loves and start creating a line of BAGS & TAGS...Keep watching for updates and listings!!
ANd check out the FUN Bee socks she sent me!!!!.....I LOVE socks!!...and what could beeeeeee better than ones with bees????....SUPER UBER fun!.....Oh...and CHECK OUT the tin....FULL of charms for my scissor charms!!!!.....I SOLD OUT at the convention...but will be bizzzzzzzzzy making more for Etsy this week.....beeeeeeee sure to check back and see!

Lucky, lucky me...lookie what Alex sent me!!!.Thanks so much, my sweet friend!..I LOVE blog candy!!...both giving and receiving!...as a matter of fact...somehow...someway, I have OVER 10,000 HITS!...so, I need to celebrate!...Hmmmm......gotta do something REALLY special!
I was trying to figure out how I MISSED the big crossing over day....and remembered when SANDY was here...she set me up on a daily Google Stalk list....makes blurffing easy, BUT, I keep adding NEW friends..and I forget to check out my "regular" blog....duh!...BUT...I LOVE it!

QueenBEE of Little...and Giving Credit

I am sure MANYMANY of you will recognize this SUPER SWEET onesie card ....I CASED this from Lauren....she is a MOST awesome designer, and so generous to share her ideas. I have decided to make this for my stash ( trying to build up my GO TO cards...hmmm...now I need a GO TO BOX!!....will work on that!)

Sooooooooooooooo....beeing Iam the QUEEN BEE of little ( I always shrinky-dink down designs)....I made this itty bitty onesie to fit on one of my CD Envie cards ( MY Favorite size!!).I used bits & pieces from my hoard stash...pp from a RAK, teensy buttons I found in a baggie...in a box....on a shelf ( yes, I am determined to use it up!)...and a few SU items.

And here it is inside the decorated CD envie....I think it is stinkin' cute....and am gonna post in my Etsy shop.....I will definitely beeeeeeeeee making more of these....the ideas are just a BUZZIN"!!!!!!!!!!!....Thanks for looking today!

Happy Spring Antique QUILT Bunny with Carrot PIN!

Whoooooooowhoooooooo...HAPPY SPRING!!!!....I hope & pray everyone had a most BLESSED EASTER.....Mr. Lowes & I went to church....then took a drive in the country ( which lately is not a cheap date with fuel prices!)...and then to Logans...yummy!!!
So...I am trying to get things into my ETSY shop....something EVERY DAY ( its a QUEST!)...This sweet 6 x6 card is made with layering an applique' bunny from a VINTAGE quilt block onto some MM paper stash.....The carrot is actually a PIN from the softest fleece...and can be removed!!...so, its a CARD...& a gift!!...all in one!!!....I LOVE more bang for your buck!!

EMERGENCY RECIPE cards for CANADA!!

OK...I KNOW....WHAT in the WORLD could be such an emergency for recipe cards????....I dunno...but, I do not question my MOST AWESOME customer in Canada.....she requests...I make!........So.....the first one is HILARIOUS!!!....I honestly do not know WHERE this started ...who wrote it....or anything...except it started circulating last year....and Connie saw it, and wanted recipe cards made out of it.....READ IT CLOSELY...its a HOOT!!!

The next two cards are FUN CHEF stitcheries that Connie did, sent to me, and I made the layered cards.....The SU stamp set I purchased has been PERFECT for Connie's recipe cards..."from the kitchen of"....is from Labelicious ( YUMMY)...and I use it all the time!!

Also...this last one....is a tribute to my blog buddy ALEX......arent you proud my friend?.....FOUR....count them FOUR JUMBO eyelets!!!....whooowhooooo....I had a GREAT teacher....you are the eyelet MASTER!!!!

Stamp Camp Basket & ramblings of interest!

This is soooooooo weird......Beeeeeeeeee cause, I thought I had already posted this basket, but then could not find it on my blog ( has anyone else seen it?)....This was a basket I made for STAMP CAMP with my SU UPUP lines' group last friday.....I cased it from Angie...LOVE the whole handle idea!.....but, would be super duper cute in ANY paper...for ANY occasion...depending on the stamp set used......Both sets here are from the latest Sale-a-bration SU event!
Anyhoo...if it had not been for Laura's most awesome helper-bee skills, I never would have been able to teach this to the 100 stampers that came!!....thats why SHE is a SGT!!!!
I am sooooooooo behind ( again!!!)...with my projects...but, probably due to the bug that visited me the past couple of weeks!

VINTAGE HANKY Altered TIN TOTE & Noties

OH MY GOODNESS, gracious...I am actually starting to feel HUMANOID again!!...after being sooooo very, VERY ill the past week +.....I actually CREATED today!whooowhooo!...This is an order from my awesome CUSTOMER & Friend, Connie, in Canada. She wanted a special gift for a friend...I hope she likes what I have come up with!....I plan on making similar pieces for my ETSY shop in the next few days ....so check back !!. This set was made with a VINTAGE Hanky, which I applied to a repurposed QK tin...made into a purse/card holder. ....Extra pieces of the hanky were used for the belly-band. The handle was made with some coordinating ribbons...vintage & new....tied by punching thru the tin with my Crop-a-dile...yummy, like butter!

The sweet little matching set of 3 x 3 noties were wonder-undered onto card stock, and handstamped with assorted sentiments.

WORKER BEEEEEEEEEEEE Wanted!!!!

OK....here's the deal......My friend Shawna and I are teaching a STAMPIN'UP! CLASS at the Creating Keepsakes Convention in ST. LOUIS in April ( friday 4th & saturday 5th)....and we are in need of someone to "work" our Make & Take booth while we are teaching the classes....you do NOT have to be a SU demo to reply...just a committed stamper......The Origami Gift bag & coaster scrapbook class ( as pictured)is scheduled for 4:30-5:30 pm on both days....so, we would need someone to COMMIT to staying at the booth for us while we are teaching the class.....We will compensate our "worker bee" with a finished project, an additional kit...and other SU product. I am super duper bizzzzzzzzzzy in The Bee Hive Studio today ( altho, I seem to have "caught" a bug..and dont know exactly how much I will get accomplished!)....Thursday was such an ABSOLUTE TREAT for me..when I got a call from Sandy...who just happened to be in the neighborhood ...and spent GIRL TIME with me at The Bee Hive STudio ( bed & breakfast included)...What a BLAST!!!!....soooooo bizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy with creativity...and she lat me play with her COPICS....OH MY GOODNESS!!.....super fun!.....Then friday was my regular GIRL TIME CLUB at The Bee Hive Studio....I will post a picture later of what our club project was....AND THEN...Yesterday...was SCRAPBOOK UNIVERSITY with my SU Up-line group....I was a WORKER BEE..( what else??)....So, today...I am PLAYING catch-up!

Please make sure the images are clean & crisp...and protected in the envelope.....What am I going to do with them, YOU ASK???.....Well....what I am going to do is MAKE CARDS FOR HEROS for Sandy's organization...(be sure to check out her blog) USING my STASH ( what a great way to USE IT UP!!.winkwink...hehehehehe!)....I will keep one of the images from each stamp for my personal collection...and probably ALTER SOMETHING with all the images...PLEASE leave "uncolored".
OK...so.....hopefully I will end up with a WALL of Bee images AND LOTS of cards to send to SANDY for the soldiers!!!

ENCOURAGEMENT Winds of Grace Card

Here I am.....MIA.....I know, I know.....Still beeeeeeeeeeehind...but catching up!....Here is a card I made using SU! Winds of Grace...this stamp set is simply lovely!...I made 11 of these for leaders of our church....everyone can use encouragement from time to time...and it goes along perfectly ( OBVIOUSLY A GOD thing!) with the Sunday sermon study on "navigating" we have been in the past few weeks...ANyhoo...stamped with STAYZON and using my SU watercolor pencils and blender pen...I was able to easily make this card pop!( the rubber artist has already done ALL the work for us!)...This is a large card (8.5" x 5.5")...left blank for group members to sign and place their own messages to staff.....and now I have received orders for more. God is so good!
Soft sky, Blue bayou and Close to cocoa make a yummy color pallet combo.

OK...well at least I was when I made this card yesterday....BUT, ( no pun intended)...after creating this STINKIN'CUTE Hippo named Hettie from PINK PETTICOAT, I miraculously finished a TON of orders and stuff from my TO DO list!....This is an awesome UK company...and I got Hettie in one of those ZIPPY file thingys...so, if I can do it...so can you!! This first picture is the card inside a CD window envie...which has become one of my most FAVE card design ideas!
.....and here she is...outside of her envie....I paper pieced and colored & layered her using assorted Stampin' UP! products...and others...which is what makes creating sooooooo fun...just change up the colors...and you have a totally NEW look!...whoooooowhoooooo....more bang for your buck!

ANd now..............CHECK THIS OUT!!!!.....
Yep....Mr. Lowes has been at it again!!!....How Cool Beans is THIS WALL ART piece????.....beeeeeeeeeeelieve it or not, I actually had a blank space on one of my walls in The Bee Hive Studio...and since both Mr. Lowes & myself are in a USING IT UP mode, he created this unit for me....I can change out my cards as I please...so not to get bored with the "view"!.....I am sooo blessed.....this man just "gets" me!!

When LIFE meets Art & ACCOUNTABILITY.....

OH MY GOODNESS, gracious....mercy me!!.....Do you remember Wile E. Coyote, from The Road Runner cartoons???....Well...I am calling this "SCRAP BOOK Interuptus".....which is what happens when LIFE meets ARt & Accountability....at least, that is for me!....Have you ever noticed...when you get on a roll with something (ie: SCRAPBOOKING a page a day)...and STUFF happens??...Well.....I have come to the sad conclusion...that altho, I have actually been accomplished in getting a scrapbook layout a day done ...I cannot complete my other tasks of day to day LIFE....not to mention my JOB....which at this point is Stampin'UP! and The Bee Hive Studio classes and creating KITS...and ETSY......Soooooooooooooooo.......I have decided to forge on ahead...get my ducks in a row.....do my job ( which is how I support my habit!!) and get back to reality....This is NOT to say...by ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM, that I am NOT scrapping.....Beeeeeeeeeeeeeecause, I have been having a BLAST..and really do feel sooooo accomplished.......BUT....I really need to get back to my Stampin'UP! bizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzyness...and my studio classes......AND....I havent been able to BLURF my blog faves in such a long time....and I do soooooo love the AWESOME inspiration out in cyber land!.....I will keep posting for sure....my cards...my scrapbook pages....and my ART...and still selling on ETSY!.....Please check back later today and see my latest card creation!...Thanks for hanging with me!!....Have a Positively Perfect PRESIDENT'S Day...and a MARVELOUS Monday, for sure!!

TEXTURE...Sammy & the Mosaic headboard

OK...OK....by now...anyone who is a "regular" here knows I am LATE on this entry for accountability...but...have you checked out my BLOG CANDY & proposal??...A bizzzzzzy bee am ME!....not grammatically correct...but, totally explains!...Thanks to my sweet friend Alex, California Stampin'..I have been able to keep the Just Beeeecause Blog Candy post at the top ( she was brilliant at helping out my tech-no challenged brain!)....and it will stay there ( just like a new post..how cool is that??) until February 29th...when I will choose at random a winner.....That gives you PLENTY of time to send in those beeeeeeeeeeeees for heros!

sooooooooooooooooooo...without further yammering.....here is todays post.....my sweet grandguy Sam....from January of this year.....He was so inquisitive and loving all of the colors..and the feel of the texture in my CUSTOM designed headboard....made by me! ( Yes, Mr. Lowes did all the cleaning and heavy lifting!).....We took a VINTAGE 8-pane window...and I adhered some of my collection of stained glass, rescued and recycled dishes, marbles and trinket boxes and grouted the whole thing.....VERY HEAVY!!...but screwed it securely into the wall above our bed...and VOILA!!...a headboard!....Cool Beans....huh?...I can tell you its a ONE and ONLY Original!!

ANyhoo....in my quest to use it up....I have embellished the layout with some assorted colored vellum I have had stashed away...along with some very fun colored shell buttons.

My bizzzzzzzzzy-ness as of late has also been consumed with my new CARD KIT CLUB that I am offering ....both local & long distance.....SO, if you are reading this...and are possibly interested....PLEASE email me and I will send the details!!!...no obligation....no commitment!

Raggedy Angel VALENTINE Card for ETSY

In my quest to use what I have...use it up....scrap whats on the table....ACCOUNTABILITY to myself...here is a sweet ( well, I think so!) Valentines card (its not too late to buy this from my ETSY shop!)....The paper doily heart has been in my STASH forever...from a swap I participated in THREE years ago....The Raggedy Angel is one of my handmade creations....really an ornament, but I have repurposed her for the DIMENTIONAL front of this card( altho...she's on there with pop-dots and could be removed & displayed on a peg rack, etc).....6 x 6 DOTS are from who knows what company...SU stamped image.
Sweet & Simple!
And yes....I DO have a LAYOUT to post ( accountability, yeah!!!)...my Grandguy SAM...so, check back!

Catching UP Accountability..ME & BFF...and some rambling..

Catching up on my personal challenge of a scrapbook page a day....and THANKS to SANDY, A Colourful World for pointing out...I am late!...lol.....I have come to the conclusion that it is MUCH easier to create a few pages at a time...since EVERYTHING ( & I mean EVERYTHING) is already out and a mess(I AM a messy scrapper/crafter/creator...I cannot help myself!)...Anyhoo..this double page spread of me & my BFF, Laura, The Stampin'Soldier gets me caught up....for now!....

These pics are from CKC in Nashville at Opryland Hotel ,Spring 2006.....We took 9 classes...did ALOT of shopping...and had a BLAST! Its so funny...although we are decades apart in age ( Laura is the age of my youngest child!...and I am older than her MOM!)....we have so much in common....People ALWAYS ask..."Are you Mother & Daughter???"...and we both grimace, and say ( smiling thru our teeth)..."No, we are Bestest Friends!!".....We met at Hobby Lobby in the scrapbook isle( where else??) 3 years ago...and just CLICKED!.....We both have different styles...but, then again very similar...does that make sense?....ANYHOO..( rambling )....We JUST "GET" each other!
I am actually coming out of my" fear of journaling box"..and trying to do more on the page..instead of my secret tag spots. The picture on the right side of this page was when Laura Re-Up'd......Seriously...I dont know what that stands for, except she signed back up with the US Army for ANOTHER 4 years of service to our country.....she is MY Hero!!....I always get a kick out of all the "letters" the military uses...ya know like ABC....WXYZ....oh, & my fave...TCBY (oh, sorry...thats yummy frozen yogurt!...lol)
So....all caught up here....for now......The past few days have been emotional & draining for me....some personal stuff....but through the helping hands of the good Lord above and perserverence, it will all be good.
I am so blessed with my friends...both locally...and "cyberly"....My sweet friend Dawn, All Pink Girl, sent me some VERY FUN stamped images to "play" with ( Thanks, Dawnie!)along with some touching and uplifting emails....so, I hope to get some cards made up in the next couple of days!...hmmm...AFTER I clean up, I guess!( did I say I am messy??)

VALENTINE Hand-signing WISHING YOU LOVE Card

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH!!! What FUN, this card was!!!....We have a lady who does "signing" at church...during the ENTIRE service....music & sermon....so I had asked her what the sign for "I Love You" was....Soooooooo....using my hand as a template, I traced & cut out of SU Blush Blossom cardstock ( awesome quality)......and stamped the sentiment from Stampin' UP! For a Friend ( level one hostess set) onto a transaprency sheet with stayzon..and colored in the back of the letters with sharpies...layered with dimensionals.FROM MY STAST ( hoarders anon!!) I found this last piece of embossed swirley hearts paper(dont know brand) and the heart doily( shopping spree from a couple of years ago!)...and attached the heart candy with glue dots!..card is 6" x 6"...& finished with retired SU organdy ribbon!....I am putting this card in my ETSY shop today!...Watch for my layout for accountability ( day 7) later today.

THANKFUL ...Papa and Myles

Accountability...days 5 & 6.....whoooooooowhooooooo....almost a week...and I am staying true..so far...so good!...Although..I admit these LAYOUTS (sans pictures) were done at a club at my Stampin Up!, UPUP lines...but, have been sitting "naked" since last year.....Sooooooooo...I thought these pictures from a visit from our Grandguys a few weeks ago fit perfectly!!

This is MYLES (will be 4 in May)...and his PAPA ( my hubby, Mr. Wonderful...aka: Mr. Lowes).Papa was on the ladder ready to hook up a tire swing...and Myles(aka: Smyly) decided he wanted to help.....The center picture is so fun...its like he's saying.."Now, Papa, do you think this chain is gonna hold the tire OK?"
This layout shows Myles looking over THE WALL, which looks down on the basement drive....He was being sooooooooo "brave".....and testing Mama & Papa with his constant curiosity!!...I still need a little more journaling on this page...But...at least its almost complete!!

I have been adding more cards to my ETSY shop..StudioBeeCreations....please see what I've been coming up with....using WHAT I HAVE....I LOVE creating this way....making use of my stash...

The BIRD,BIRD,BIRD...is a GIRL!!!!

DAY FOUR of ACCOUNTABILITY.....and this layout is LATE!....beeeeeeecause...this should have been posted yesterday....but, it just wasnt working for me....and I had to re-do ( has that EVER happened to anyone else?)...Thank goodness nothing was glued down!...ANYHOO....there is quite a funny story behind this layout.....Three Christmases ago, I was surprised by this sweet gift of CHIP..a cockatiel....named so, because at that time I was so WAY into MOSAICS ( broken dishes....chips, etc...get it?).....Altho, now the name STILL works, because of my papercrafting obsession including CHIPBOARD!....Soooooo....not really knowing one way or the other CHIP's sex....we have just called HIM a HE for the past three years....UNTIL...this past wednesday ( after a fierce storm) when I looked into "his" cage and WHAT TO MY WONDERING EYES SHOULD BE there....but, two eggs!!!...OH MY!.....I FIRST called hubby at work...and inquired if he was "goofing" on me and had he put ANYTHING in Chip's cage???.....No.....WHY?....well, this has become just a wonderful LIFE experience ( since I failed Science 101!!!).....Hubby looked it all up on the net...supposedly when Cockatiel's are feeling very safe in their environment...they "mate" with whatever is close ( hm...must have been the fun bell toy!)....and since it was "rainy season" ( in the wild...better to feed the babies with)...He/SHe, dropped a couple of eggs!.....Honestly...a real "star in the east moment".....So, the net says to leave the eggs for a couple of days...but, to remove them and MAKE THE CAGE different(uncomfortable)....so Chip will not drop a couple more.....and "deplete her calcium levels".
OK!!!....so,....I PRINTED MY OWN pictures on my HP ( a FIRST!!)...and using SU LeJardin ( what could be better??), and A Little Birdie told me stamp set....with a few assorted rouge embellies, here is the layout!

FUN...FUN...FUN...Family FUN!!...day 3

OH MY Goodness, gracious......How much FUN..FUN....FUN!!!....I am so pleased with this layout..MOSTLY beeeeeecause...I am still being accountable...but ALSO.....the memories are fresh...and now renewed....and SCRAPPED!!!.....SO, altho, I am not truly happy with the flash on the picture...I LOVE the layout!...Again DCWV sparkley patterned paper ( like yesterday's layout)...I also USED UP STASH which included some SU chipboard I have been hoarding for a while....covered with more of the coordinating paper from that paper stack....AND...I stamped with SU DOODLE THIS on some transparency with my white STAYZON, flipped them over & colored in with my SHARPIES....a rub-on from my stash, completes the layout....BUT , not before....OH,LOOKEE....I actually JOURNALED where it can be seen!!!....GRACIOUS!!!....ANyhoo.....a BIG STEP for me!.....outside of MY BOX!...( ok...does anyone know why those spaces are on that one line???....I cannot get rid of them!)
Sooooo....here I am....AGAIN..with a very ACCOMPLISHED feeling.

Accountability...Day 2......Sweet Memories.....You're Still You

I am having an absolute BLAST!!...I LOVE scrapbooking!!....and altho, looking through my dozens and dozens of boxes of pictures...does bring back, at times bittersweet memories....there are moments like the layout today...that are just SWEET.Please listen to Josh Groban sing You're Still You....
which was the reason for this FUN set of pictures...from Christmastime 2002... of my daughter Joy and son Jarrod, as they performed a choreographed rendition of the song.....I had to have them do it a second time so I could take pictures....I was laughing sooooooo hard!!

Did I say how much FUN I am having????....and feeling PURPOSEFUL!!!( probably not a word...but an awesome...overwhelming feeling of accomplishment!)...Try it...you'll like it!..
The multi-pic layout is bizzzzzzzzy...especially on top of some fun DCWV Pocketful of Posies stack paper..layered with the LYRICS to the song printed onto vellum printed with musice symbols ( from my use it up stash!) The little Prima flower on the right is attached to yet another JOURNALING TAG..behind the page in a hidden envelope..MAYBE soon I will be journaling on the TOP!.but, dont hold your breath!!..I am going to try one of those SINGLE PICTURE layouts SOON!!...Creative blessings, Debbie

VALENTINE'S 3 x 3 Note Card set for Marlou's Challenge

Just a real quickie post at lunch.....These were cards I was working on for a Valentine CANDY challenge over at Marlou's blog Scrapping with Love....I hope these qualify for the YUMMY-licious candy...but, if not...they are DONE and will be in my Etsy shop (as soon as I get done with this post!)......SUper sweet & simple...I LOVE 3 x 3's!!!!....I have stitched by hand a VINTAGE quilt heart onto some scraps of layered pp and c/s....Used my NEW CADII to put the eyelets in ( super fast & easy....and NO BLEEDING!).....The ribbon has been in the old stash for well over a year!...so, that's it for now....I am working on DAY 2 of my Personal Accountability Challenge....and having a BLAST!!....check back later TODAY for the layout!!

365 Days of ACCOUNTABLITY...DAY ONE

Okeeeeeeeedokeeeeeeee!!!....I woke up this morning...feeling like I have no purpose....no, I am not whining...not really....its just that I have this MOST AWESOME scraproom that Mr. Lowes built for me...I am a SU demonstrator ( with LOTS to offer, I think!)...and cannot get anyone to come to classes, clubs, Open Houses.....whatever....what in the world!!???....So, here I sit with a PLETHERA of STUFF...loving to create...tons of pictures ( figuring I am 50+ years old...3 children...2 grand children....Heritage, etc)....so......I decided that I would CHALLENGE MYSELF!.....One scrapbook layout a day....PLUS card(S) from the leftovers.....plus maybe...perhaps ONE ALTERED ART piece EACH week ( hmmmm...that would be 52 of those).....Sooooooo...after talking it over with DD Jenny in Boston...she has agreed to "hold me accountable" for that challenge!!.....I can scrap whatever I want...however I wish or feel........but I maintain, I will be ACCOMPLISHED!!!....so, STAY TUNED!!!!......I am excited!!!!!

I tried to call Jenny to give me a kick start ( what should I start scrapping????....she does EVERYTHING chronological....kittykards6473)....BUT, to my dismay ( and probably HERS ,after seeing this post)....she was NOT available ( ok...she WAS working!!)...ANYHOO...so.....I opened JENNY'S box of photos......and made LAYOUT ONE....DAY ONE!!!!

Remember when you took your kids to OLAN MILLS for a photo shoot?.....the only place back in 1973 to get REAL pictures made.....well.....this layout is JENNY at 3 weeks old!! ...yes, she does look like POPEYE in a couple of them!!!..But, SUPER CUTE!..I kept the layout simple...used SU stamps to create my background.....and a vintage quilt pieced heart is sewn onto the paper by hand.. Since I AM NOT really comfortable with JOURNALLING ( albeit, I think I have come a LONG way by blogging) ...I just cut a circle with my coluzzle to mimic the other stamped images, and wrote Jenny...3 weeks old. HOWEVER.....after looking at it a while, I decided to "add" an envelope with a tag insert on the one side....& will probably copy & paste THIS blog entry on the tag......I do feel so very strongly that it is SOOOOOOOOO IMPORTANT to get your pictures...your moments of your life scrapped.....Those of you who are ALOT younger than I am...have such an awesome opportunity to Scrap your LIFE......PLEASE....PLEASE...do it!!!....dont wait as long as I have!!
Sorry the post is so long.....I promise the FUTURE days will not be as wordy!!!
SO....thats it for tonight....the "cards" are still on the scrap table waiting to be finished....but, there is a STORM a BREWING...and so I wanted to at least get this post up!

Here is my entry for the Artz de Scrap coaster wall-hanging contest...wish me luck!!!
I have taken a regular sized clip board and ALTERED it with SU stamps,Designer Scrapbook papers,LOTS of ribbons, CORK,metal embellies,HANDMADE stick pins( gonna make more of these sweeties!!),hand-dyed silk flowers, and VINTAGE mother-of-pearl button from my yummy stash!
Some of the papers used were from my "win" at Artz de Scrap for MY WORLD inspiration. Fun Basic Grey "Perhaps" and EK Success "Inspirables" matched perfectly with the color combo of natural cork and assorted ribbons, fibers & trims....This kind of ART is my most favorite of all....
Featured on this wall hanging are my children ( and grandguys)....The coasters are layered with coordinating SU cardstock...and featuring...from left to right:
Our daughter, Jenny and husband Bill....they live in Boston
Our daughter, Joy, husband Lee & grandguys Myles & Sammy...they live in SC
Our son, Jarrod & his wife Ericka....they live in Mississippi
And the sweet memories of life.....the story behind the CASTLE....which is "floating" inside a clear envelope attached to the clipboard...and can be exchanged with an updated pic of hubby and me(whenever!)....ANYHOO...the story is that when hubby & I were dating, he promised to always treat me like a queen...and he always has....so, the castle ( from Disney World) is a symbol of our love...and life together.

LOOKEE what UPS Delivered!!!

OK,OK,OK....I Know I agreed to USE WHAT I HAVE...but,I didnt HAVE this....and, I got caught up in the HSN buyers frenzy a few weeks ago...I will tell you, that the video they showed definitely SOLD me on this new CAD II, BIG BITE from WeR Memory Keepers....Plus the FREE(???) grommets that came with it!!.....So....I took this picture yesterday, and as you can see..it is STILL in the package....HONESTLY I had some orders to get finished first beeeeeeeefore I would LET myself open it!......and now, this morning, I am doing a quickie post before church........But, when I get home, I will get out THE JAWS OF LIFE ( which is what is going to be needed to OPEN the package!) and start playing!!!....oooooh...BUT WAIT!...first, I WILL read the IMPORTANT INFO WARNING that is on the bottom of the package.....If I can get BIT by the little CAD....what injury do you think could be made with this monster????.....I shutter to think!
Anyhoo...thats it for right now....just a glimpse of my new tool!

I am COMMITTED...ALTERED PLANNER

OK....for those of you out there who really think I SHOULD be TRULY COMMITTED, in a looney bin somewhere....thats not what I actually meant....BUT....ANyhoo, in my desire to USE WHAT I HAVE, and always altering STUFF...I have taken the OLD SU Planner, which was discontinued....and using my FAVE DSP ( ok....one of my faves!!),I covered scrap chipboard ( aka...the sheets that come with the dsp!...no, I RARELY throw anything away!)....and adhered to the front, back & spine of the old planner with red-liner tape....Also, co-ordinating the Chipboard "d" from simon-lower and the ON BOard Ginormous pieces( these have been in my stash...shamelessly UNUSED for months!)..oh..and I used my CAD ( yes, I was very careful...no more accidents!!) to punch the holes in the circle piece!...& added some gg ribbon SCRAPS!

Using up assorted scraps, I made the inside pages..( punched holes with CAD)...The "calendar" is from the $ Store...cut apart and adhered to dsp. I used some of the leftover inserts from the old planner for my addresses/contacts, etc....and have added a covered envy for receipts ( which WILL be CLEANED OUT and filed each day/week/month as necessary....depending on how much I go out and spend!!.......hmmmm...AFTER I USE UP what I have!...lol!)
Of course, I had to cover a pen with beads to bling it up!

Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to all my blog buds out there..who ALREADY know about my "weirdness"...and to anyone who is NEW to my blog...WELCOME...WELCOME......The post for the weekend is like a SUNDAY FUNNY...but, a day early!....and I mean early BEEEEEEEEEcause this little SNAFOO happened this morning at 3:30am....HAD to get this order finished!...
ANyhoo....THE WARNING...take heed....when placing ( uh...glued down for sure!) PRINTED WITH WORDAGE paper onto a surface, MAKE SURE that the words do NOT say something you will forever regret!...Take the SPECIAL ORDER purse I made for a friend...featuring her son's basketball team....OK...the PRINTED paper from Paper Studio has some "basketball" terms, etc......well...when I glued & cut out the panel...what to my wondering eyes should appear...but the word PASS.....WITHOUT the "P"......!!!!!!What in the world!!???? So.....after the initial ARGH moment was over.....I went to my ribbon stash ( just got this ribbon on SALE at HL!!!)...and discretely covered the "wordage"....TADA!!!!

Sooooooo....anyhoo...here is the other side of the Purs-onality Purse.....Cage's MOM was estatic....I am hoping for more orders....also am offering a special for FUND RAISERS!!!!...we shall see!
Oh....and BTW ( sorry this is so long today!).....BUT...BEWARE ALSO of THE CROP-A-DILE!....it bites!!!....yeah, yeah, yeah...I know, you are supposed to keep your fingers outta the way....BUT...ooopppps!....AND OWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEE...NO PICTURE, for your sake....and from the recommendations for my DD in Boston and BFF Laura!

Hmmmmmmm...difficult for me to only do two.....#1.ANYPLACE with my husband...he is my soul mate...my right arm....and #2. Visiting my daughter in Boston ( very cool) and then we took a "side trip" to NYC....also COOL BEANS!

CREATE......and spend time ( sometimes too much) on the computer blogging & blurfing.
4. Name two things that pretty much everyone knows about you.
I LOVE making stuff outta junk.....I am thrifty and LOVE to reclaim, recycle & reuse.

Good Will (duh)...and....HOBBYLOBBYJOANNSMICHAELS ( thats ONE store, right??)

HOARDERS ANON...Use it up!...Mileage Book

OK...better late than never....Visit my friend SANDY, who is constantly bizzzzzzzzy doing Cards for Heros, SCS, blogging, saving the world (she must be doing this!!)...talk about MULTI-TASKING!....anyhoo...like I said...please go see Sandy's blog, A Colourful World, where she is doing a Hoarder's Anonymous challenge. Here's one I have come up with.....the PROJECT has been on my design table for way too many months now.
A simple $1.00 spot journal ....from a few YEARS ago( very cool find with all the texture!)....I have done a little layering with one of my most favorite SU dsp: Fall Flowers....took an On Board Simon lowercase "M".....uh, for mileage, and added a few rogue brads and TONS of FUN fibers & ribbons ( lots of these rogue pieces in The Bee Hive Studio!)....I cannot seem to throw anything away...EVER!....But, I have become very creative using what I have!
So, now I have no idea how to load this onto the HA @ SCS....so, I'll just let Sandy know.....she'll know what to do ( she is so TECH Savvy!!!)
Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee sure to take a peak over at my Etsy store......I am USING what I have....and loading up LOTS of projects this week!....so, check back often!....you might just find something you HAVE to have!

A CASE of a BIRTHDAY CARD with FUN Envie!

OK.....I was in a TOTAL creative slump....so, I went BLURFING to all my regular favorite stops, and found this wonderful creation from ANGIE JUDA ( Chic'nScratch) to CASE!..Thanks, girlfriend for the inspiration!...She does awesome work...I just LOVE her...and although she no longer lives in the Nashville area, she still has that GREAT accent....beeeeeeeeee sure to check out her TUTES!!!

............and so after the CASE....I was INSPIRED to create a matching envelope for the fun card!With just a minor bit of resizing, the card fits PERFECTLY into a CD envelope, which is 5 x 5....HOW MUCH FUN is THAT????......I took my stayzon and stamped the flower from the same A Birdie Told Me SU stamp set, over & over...making it like a field of flowers......& using my sharpies( for the transparency part) and SU markers, colored in the flowers & leaves...and adding some freeform grass.
SUPER DUPER fun & EASY!!!!....Thanks for looking....I am back in my Creative MOJO!!

Here is one of my latest creations from THE BEE HIVE STUDIO that I posted in my EBAY STORE StudioBeeCreations....made from a VINTAGE Ladies'Hankie....I LOVE re-inventing treasures from the past!!....and combining TEXTILES with PAPERCRAFTS....not to mention...using what I have from my stash!Vellum sentiment is from CM....vintage baby rick rack. VALENTINE'S Treat Cone Favor

Well....here is the FIRST project of the new year ( ok, its still 2007...but, I thought I'd get a JUMP!)....I had to post something...and since I had all my punches neatly on my NEW DISPLAY rack ( thank you my dear, sweet, wonderful husband!)....and I actually could FIND them...I used some left-over Cutie Pie dsp 4 x 4 scrap to create the cone shape...layered tag punches stamped with fun tag from 2008 HAPPY HEART DAY ( I LOVE this sweet set...& I WON it at my UPUP Line's Christmas Party!...whooowhooo!!)..I used the technique I saw on Cambria Turnbow's blog ( oh my, isnt she awesome??) for doing the fun strip down the front of the cone..its called a Corner rounder Criss-Cross...LOVE IT!..I also covered some CHOCOLATE Truffle Treasures with wheeled SCRAPS and added a punched Hugs & Kisses from ALL HOLIDAYS (if you blink, you ALMOST can miss this little cutie in the set!!)A little scrap of gross-grain ribbon ties it all together..
Anyhoo...I just felt a real need to get something posted....and am bizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy working on lots more for my OPEN HOUSE this saturday....Hey, if you're in the neighborhood, stop by and PLAY a while!....Thanks for visiting my blog!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!...Lookee what MR.Lowes made for me!!

This is soooooooooo cool!!!!....My guy....Mr. Lowes.....in keeping with our HANDMADE Christmas theme , made this MOST AWESOME ...PUNCH Display Tree for all my hand punches,etc.....dont you just LOVELOVELOVE it???....He 'fashioned it" from an old display unit we used have in our craft booths years ago ( I knew there was a reason I needed to hold onto it!)
Anyhoo....as you can see, I need MORE PUNCHES!!...lol!...and my list from the brand new SU 2008 Spring catty is growing!!....
In my QUEST to be better organized for 2008...this is a GREAT New Beginning!....and, my friends....ya know what ???......You will absolutely LOVE the fact that I just happen to "mention"(winkwink) to him a few weeks ago that I "needed some way to store & display" my punches.....& he listened......He is soooooooooo great!....Hmmmmm...what OTHER organizational things do I need??????
So, here is my kick-off to 2008......Ive got a great head start!!

Post-It-NOTE Holder...Unfrogettable!

OOOOOPS!....a little blurry....but, I HAD to post SOMETHING!...This is a special order for one of my awesome local customers....for her Mom....who thinks PERHAPS she is losing her memory ( or mind!)...and wanted a sweet way to "remind her" of upcoming events, etc. with a post-it-note holder. I KNOW there are several...TONS of tutes out in BLOGLAND of post-it-note holders....IFIFIF you would like the specifics on THIS particular one, please leave a comment or email a request, and I will get something worked up ( AFTER the holiday festivities are thru!).....But, this idea for "future" gift giving ideas, would work for multiple seasons ( MORE BANG for your buck...I always say!)
Anyhoo....I HAVE to say, that I would not have EVER been able to do this ( easily) WITHOUT the MOST AWESOME VIDEO TUTE by KWERNER ( Kristina is THE BOMB!...oh my!!) using the Stamp-a-ma-jig....I used a couple of different wordage stamps and combined them to CREATE this specific sentiment...I ordered it SPECIFICALLY beeeeeeeeeecause of HER tute!!!....and I dont know WHATIN THE WORLD, I ever did before having it!...YOU gotta try it!....email ME for SPECIAL FROM ME if you'd like to order it!!!!!..STAMPIN'UP!.....it is awesome!!!

QUICKIE CHOCOLATE Recipe...Sweeto Frito

WHat in the WORLD am I doing???....surfing my blog buddies...when I have sooo much still to do??.....Oh well......Just had to check some of my faves out, and get my FIX for the day!....like ALEX, California Stampin......She has some YUMMY wrapped Blog CANDY....all you have to do is leave her a recipe!......so ...here is mine( hey....I can multi-task.....a comment & a blog entry in ONE!!)

Sweeto Frito Bars:
1 10.5 oz bag Fritos originals
1 cup white sugar
1 cup Karo syrup
1 cup creamy peanut butter
7 Hershey Bars

Grease or spray a 9 x 13 pan...place corn chips in bottom of pan.
In saucepan...bring the sugar and Karo to a boil over medium heat...just so the sugar is dissolved.
Remove from heat & stir in the cup of peanut butter until smooth.
Pour over the chips.
Place SIX of the chocolate bars on the top & let melt.....EAT the other one while awaiting the real treat!!!...lol!
Cool....Break up or cut into pieces & ENJOY!!

ALTERED TILE Dry Erase Board

Here's MY version of an altered tile.....using it for a dry erase board.....I have seen others while BLURFFING ( what a fun name for stalking!)...and wanted to try it out. So, I had to play MRS. WIZARD ( for those of you who remember Mr. Wizard...the science dude on TV years ago!...This is what I found out through MANY trials on my PROTOTYPE Tile ( this tile will never be seen!)......

If you happen to be handy, or live with a MR. LOWES...you need to sand off the "nipples" around the edges of the tiles....I suppose these have a purpose when using as intended!
CLEAN tile ( glazed kind so, dry erase marker will work) with rubbing alcohol to clean off dirt, oils, etc.
Stamp design ( I used the FREE Hostess set that SU sent to all demos....FUN!!)with STAYZON...set with heat gun ( I am soooooo impatient to wait for it to dry!)..This will help it NOT come off when you add color!
Color in with SHARPIE PERMANENT MARKERS.....NOTE:...do not drag your hand thru the "wet" marker while coloring!( duh...did this one time!).....If this does occur, or you are NOT happy with the look...you can use NAIL POLISH REMOVER and wipe it all away, and start over with step #2.
OK...NOW THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!....Thru my trials, I discovered the TRICK is to BAKE these babies!( the Crystal Effects druzzled oer it DID NOT WORK!...left it, well, YUCKY!)So, you need to BAKE at 350 degrees ( place it in a cold oven) for about 2 hours...then turn off the oven & let it cool in oven ( you can do up about 6 of these at once)
Remove when cool..The heat does change the colors some what.....DO NOT USE A sealer, or these will not accept the dry erase marker!!!
CLEAN WITH A DRY SOFT CLOTH( or paper towel)....no water needed!!!

I got my easel at Hobby Lobby on sale ( nice & scrolly, heavy weight)...The ones at the $$$ Tree were all gone!..Tied it up with some YUMMY SU Ribbon......And added the BEADED MARKER!!!!....if you need instructions for this...email me!
Soooooooo...this was my "gift" for my UP-UP Lines Dirty Santa exchange last night....and it seemed to go over well.....since it got "taken" 3 times!!
Gonna make more....if there were only 48 hours in a day!!!!!..........back to work( aka: PLAY!)

Oh MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS!!!....I KNEW I was hooked when, after filling up a stamp supply box with these FUN SPIRELLI's, using, of course, scraps from my stash (ya know, I NEVER throw anything away that can possibly be stamped or punched!)....that I actually reached for a WHOLE PIECE of c/s to PUNCH SOME MORE!..At least this addiction, unlike my one with chocolate, does not contain any FAT CALORIES!.....Honestly, these are wonderful...and now I have a ton of them to create more Christmas cards with!

Still CRUNCHING Cards.....

....but, I am making progress!!!...I decided to start off my card making by CASE-ing myself!...one of my designs ( which is close to the Holiday SU sample) from my Designer Christmas Card Buffet back in August.....What an easy way to go!....Copying what I had already done!...duh! Anyhoo....I made 20 of these...now, I am on to another design....You know by now, I am not the best with my recipes....but here are the "ingredients" to this card:
Purley Pomegranate, Blue Bayou and River Rock In-colors in C/S & ink....Blue Bayou double stitched ribbon ( confession: I did run out of this 1/2 way thru & had to substitute retired ribbons......USE WHAT YOU HAVE!!!!!!!)...Stamp set Star Studded Season....silver brads...Cut, stamp 'n stick....YUMMY!
So.....check out my Tower of Scraps!.......this is only one of literally DOZENS of these...Hubby brought home for me from Clearance at LOWES ( where he works)...he figured I could use for "something"...he knows me so well....As you can see, I always keep my punches close by, to save my scraps in the form of flowers, tags, scallops, photo corners...etc.....ya just NEVER know when you might need the PERFECT piece....and since all my SU c/s & dp co-ordinates, all I have to do is reach in the container and pull out a doo-dad punch to accessorize whatever project I am working on....ta da!!!
So...thats it for today....more crunching to do....the list keeps getting longer!.....Thank you so much to all of you who have requested my TUTE on the BRAG BOOKS....It will be forth coming this week....please check back!!!

OK>>my creative juices are on OVERLOAD....and I am bizzzzzzzzzzy,bizzzzzzzy finishing up Christmas cards ( this weekend is the CRUNCH-time!) and gifts ( hand-made...of course). I LOVE CHOCOLATE!....anything chocolate.....any color chocolate...any form of chocolate!
I shop Goodwill...its my most favorite store for CLOTHES & junk...I am really into one-of-a-kind stuff!
My dog, Lazer...eats cat food.....he LOVES it...of course, he also loves ROAD KILL too!
Even tho I have a beeeeeeeautiful, huge studio,with lots of work-space I seem to be able to have SOMETHING GOING on every surface....and create on a 12" x 12" area (8"x8"..LOL!)...Have to have everything in sight...stamps, paper, ribbon, etc...etc!Anybody else?

SAFETY TIPS of INTEREST...Pass it ON....

in an emergency situation...

everyone you know.
After reading these 9 crucial tips ,

It never hurts to be careful
in this crazy world we live in.

1 Tip from Tae Kwon Do :
The elbow
is the strongest point
on your body.
If you are close enough to use it,
do!

2. Learned this from a tourist guide
in New Orleans
If a robber asks
for your wallet and/or purse,
DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM
Toss it away from you....
chances are
that he is more interested
in your wallet and/or purse
than you,
and he will go
for the wallet/purse.
RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!

3. If you are ever thrown
into the trunk of a car,
kick out the back tail lights
and stick your arm out the hole
and start waving like crazy.
The driver won't see you,
but everybody else will.
This has saved lives.

4. Women have a tendency
to get into their cars after shopping,
eating, working, etc.,
and just sit (doing their checkbook,
or making a list, etc.
DON'T DO THIS!)
The predator
will be watching you,
and this is the perfect opportunity
for him to get in
on the passenger side,
put a gun to your head,
and tell you where to go.
AS SOON AS YOU GET INTO YOUR CAR ,
LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE.

a. If someone
is in the car
with a gun
to your head
DO NOT DRIVE OFF,
repeat:
DO NOT DRIVE OFF!
Instead gun the engine
and speed into anything,
wrecking the car.
Your Air Bag will save you.
If the person is
in the back seat
they will get the worst of it .
As soon as the car crashes
bail out and run.
It is better than having them
find your body
in a remote location.

5 A few notes about getting
into your car in a parking lot,
or parking garage:
A.) Be aware:
look around you,
look into your car,
at the passenger side floor ,
and in the back seat
B..) If you are parked next to a big van,
enter your car from the passenger door .
Most serial killers attack their victims
by pulling them into their vans
while the women are attempting
to get into their cars.
C..) Look at the car
parked on the driver's side
of your vehicle,
and the passenger side.
If a male is sitting alone
in the seat nearest your car,
you may want to walk back
into the mall, or work,
and get a guard/policeman
to walk you back out.
IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)

6. ALWAYS
take the elevator
instead of the stairs.
(Stairwells are horrible places
to be alone
and the perfect crime spot.
This is especially true at NIGHT!)

7. If the predator has a gun
and you are not under his control,
ALWAYS RUN!
The predator will only hit you
(a running target)
4 in 100 times;
And even then,
it most likely
WILL NOT
be a vital organ.
RUN,
Preferably !
in a zig -zag pattern!

8. As women,
we are always trying
to be sympathetic:
STOP !
It may get you raped,
or killed.
Ted Bundy,
the serial killer,
was a good-looking,
well educated man,
who ALWAYS played
on the sympathies
of unsuspecting women.
He walked with a cane,
or a limp,
and often asked
"for help"
into his vehicle
or with his vehicle,
which is when he abducted
his next victim.

Someone just told me
that her friend heard
a crying baby on her porch
the night before last,
and she called the police
because it was late
and she thought it was weird.
The police told her
"Whatever you do,
DO NOT
open the door."
The lady
then said that
it sounded like the baby
had crawled near a window,
and she was worried
that it would crawl
to the street
and get run over.
The policeman said,
"We already have a unit on the way,
whatever you do,
DO NOT open the door."
He told her that they think
a serial killer
has a baby's cry recorded
and uses it to coax
women out of their homes
thinking that someone
dropped off a baby
He said they have not verified it,
but have had several calls
by women saying that
they hear baby's cries
outside their doors
when they're home alone
at night.

Please pass this on and

for a crying baby ----

was mentioned on

this past Saturday
when they profiled
the serial killer in Louisiana

MINI Scrapbook BRAG BOOKS

Here are some FUN & FAST mini Scrapbook BRAG BOOKS, I designed, using ( re-inventing) those cheapy, bland ones you get from Walmart, etc, with the "sleeves" for pics. I have never done a "tute" before...but, if I get enough response from this post, I will try my hand at it....please post a comment if you are interested.
These make GREAT gifts...I have taken TONS of orders for the Christmas season...They can be customized...( One order is going to a soldier DAD, stationed in IRAQ...with pics of his family, so he can carry them in his pocket).
Portable and compact.

Gift TUBES Altered Art...

....Never letting anything go to waste...and always recycling SOMETHING...these Gift tubes are created from faux CRYSTAL LITE canisters ( Wal-mart brand).....I have mega quantities of these, and when a customers wondered if I had something to wrap up her Christmas cookies in...OF COURSE I DID!....SO, I covered the canisters with non-SU pp, using red-line tape on the wrapped ends...and grabbed up a spool of FUN GOLD MESH ribbon from Joanns ( approx 3 years ago....yes, I hoard!)...and wrapped that around center...attached a FUN SU LABELICIOUS embossed tag, with corners ticket punched. Top of canister has pp with a flower & leaves punched with the 5-petal punch ....and gold stickles centers for bling.
SO, thats it!....Will definitely KEEP saving them now......great for ANY holiday!!!

SNOWGLOBE Shaker Card

True CONFESSIONS of a menopausal STAMPER...(TMI?...sorry!)....But, oh so true!...I designed this card WAY back in August for my Designer Christmas Card Buffet...which was a huge hit, I think because the cards were challenging more-so than your typical Stamp-a-stacks ( NOT that there is anything wrong with those....beeeeeeecause, they are very gratifying and make one feel accomplished!)
ANYHOO....when I saw this stamp set SIMPLE SNOWMAN from SU....I immediately saw a SNOWGLOBE....Ok, so bouncing back to the menopausal moment....I cannot, for the LIFE of me remember who EXACTLY recommended the basic shaker tute ( maybe Maria Bell??.)...But, this is what I came up with in the end. Using the CD envelopes available anywhere, I stamped the sno-guy onto the window sheet portion with STAYZON ink and colored in with SHARPIES. SNowflakes & the string of lights were stamped onto white cardstock which was placed INSIDE the envie...giving dimention to the card. MORE flakes stamped on outside edges...and 5 x 5 CD envie was layered onto a 6 x 6 folded card from SU Brocade Blue c/s...sentiment JUST FIT to be punched with round tab punch....another snowflake, punched with circle punch, glittered edge, silver brad, and POPPED....ribbon down one edge....OH...and before sealing up the envie, I added some cheapie glitter & snowflakes to make it a shaker SnowGlobe....The "icicles" across the top are made by taking CRYSTAL EFFECTS and droozling them across a piece of wax paper, and applying DD glitter....Let dry, and just peal it off, and attach to card with Crystal Effects. ( BTW...I DID try this with a BRAND X -CE.....and it did not work...just broke apart!!)
OK...I am a MUCH BETTER teacher IRL!!!....where I can use my hands to talk!....LOL!...I just have a hard time putting my "words" down on "paper"!!
Hope you like the card..I know its a tad blurry...still getting to know my camera.....sorry my "recipe" is not a standard one...( My cooking is basic 101 ALSO!)

My GrandGUY SAM Scrapbook Pages

This is SAM.....he's my GrandGuy!....and the sweetest munchkin around. Sammy turned 2 years old this past September...and for several months prior to his birthday, both my hubby and I had struggled with the right approach in talking about..."perhaps something is not right" with our daughter( Sammy's Mommy) Its a sticky situation...and one where you dont WANT to be right....and did cause...hmmmmm shall I say, FRICTION ,between my "middle child daughter grown-up" and myself.....But....a Mama ( that's me) cannot go around with blinders on...ya know ???....for the sake of the child....
So...anyhoo....Sammy has been "tested".....over & over...still no certain diagnosis besides he is WAY far behind developmentally : mentally, emotionally, etc.etc.etc....and a challenge....But, at least, now..he is in the system, and on his way to being helped...praise God!

Check out those GORGEOUS blue eyes!!...My daughter takes the MOST awesome pictures using a DINOSAUR of a digital camera...I LOVE scrapping her pics!

This 12 x 12 double page layout was created at a SCRAPBOOK CLUB I am in with my UP-UPline in SU....I made these two pages "sans" pictures....came home with the empty pages and VOILA!...found the PERFECT pics of SAMMY!...Now, I know, this is not everyone's choice way of scrapping....but it IS getting my pictures done & in an album!....although I still love the "traditional" way of pulling out every bit of paper, stamp set and embelly in my studio and having a field day!! ( ummmm...can ANYONE relate??...LOL!)
I have enjoyed being in the club...and will be starting some of my own, here at THE BEE HIVE Studio in January.....One for SCRAPBOOKING....one for TECHNIQUES....and one for my PASSION..3-D gift-ables.
